The Democratic Community of Johnson County meets on the 3rd Thursday of every month except December.
     
We meet at Heroes Restaurant in Warrensburg, 107 W. Pine St., 5 pm. We start with dinner at about 5 pm, then hold a general business meeting at 6:00, a program at 6:30, and finally a  Central Committee meeting at about 7 pm for any remaining official business.  All meetings are open.

February 16, the program will be a presentation on several ballot initiatives.  Sayra Gordillo from MO Jobs with Justice, will present on the predatory lending and minimum wage campaigns.

March 15, Debbie Woehrman from Missouri Votes Conservation has agreed to do a presentation on current environmental issues in Missouri.  She may also have information about positions of candidates running for the state legislature.

February 2 - Special planning meeting, to develop strategies, budget and plans for this very important election year.

March 29 - JoCoDem Caucus, where delegates are elected to Democratic caucuses and conventions. 7:30 pm at the Trails Regional Library in Warrensburg.

April 14 - 5th annual James Kirkpatrick Heritage Dinner, Saturday, April 14th, 5:30 pm at the Johnson County Fairgrounds. We'll honor Congressman Emanuel Cleaver, and get to know 4th District Democratic candidate Teresa Hensley.

August 7 - Primary election for county, state and congressional offices

August 21 - JoCo Democratic Central Committee reorganization meeting (election of officers)

August 28 - 4th Congressional District reorganization meeting

Sept 3 - 7 - National Democratic Convention in Charlotte, North Carolina

November 6 - ELECTION DAY

November 10 or 17 - Festival of Soups

December 15 - JoCoDem Holiday event at the home of Deleta Williams
