Johnson County Democratic Headquarters at 105 S. Holden will open on Saturday, August 21. Mark your calendar for a grand opening (time is being determined with potential speaker). Contact us at 660-429-2012 to volunteer to help set-up HQ and/or to staff the front desk there beginning August 23.

Wednesday, July 14, 7 p.m. -
Volunteer Training at Heroes Restaurant, organized by state rep candidate Courtney Cole. We'll set up volunteers with jobs and train them on what to do on Election Day. Then we'll have a get-out-the-vote test run on primary election day, Aug. 3. Free Courtney Cole t-shirts and appetizers for those who attend.
Thursday, July 15 -
Democratic Club and Committee meetings at Heroes. Featured event: State Representative Candidate Forum.
Dinner starts at 5 p.m., Club meeting at 6 p.m., Forum soon thereafter, and Committee meeting at about 7:15 p.m. The Committee will continue planning for headquarters and promotional activities.
Tuesday, August 3 - Primary elections.
Tuesday, August 17, 7 p.m. -
County Democratic Committee re-organization meeting. Elect officers for the coming two years.
Wednesday, August 18 -
Legislative District Democratic Committee re-organization meeting.
Saturday, August 21 -
Senate District Democratic Committee re-organization meeting.
Tuesday, August 31 -
4th Congressional District Democratic Commitee re-organization meeting.
These re-organization meetings are mandated by state laws, as a part of the political party system. Election of officers will take place at each level of the Democratic party structure.
